Introducing: The Daily Draw

Chobots has an exciting an new feature yet again, this time called the "Daily Draw". You can find it in the "News" section of your UI, shown below.

Once you click that, you will be redirected to something that looks like this. There under the "Featured Player", you will find a small button that is marked, "Daily Draw"

Click on that, and you'll be directed to the Daily Draw screen.

 

 

This is the screen from 7/16/2013. The entry price is 200 bugs, and the prize is 300,000 bugs. At this specific moment, you have 19 hours and 39 minutes until they draw the winner. The total entries at this time are 502.

Now, the entry price changes depending on the prize. For example, look at the screen from 7/15/2013:



Since the prize is citizenship, which is more valuable than bugs, the entry price was raised to 3,500 bugs per entry.

I find that this is very similar to lottery tickets. There is an entry fee, many people participate, and there is a "jackpot".

Of course if you enter you have a chance of winning, however it is a small one. Let's say you have a bag full of colorful marbles. There are red and green marbles. The red marbles represent your entries in the daily draw, and the green marbles represent everybody else's entries.

Now let's say that there are 500 green marbles, and only 4 red marbles all mixed up in the bag. If you were to randomly draw out a marble, which color do you think you would draw? (think about it)

Of course, the more entries you buy, the greater chance you have of winning.
