Malicious Software and the Chobots forum

Attention to all users! Please read this because this is very important and might've happened to you.

 

The Chobots staff has received multiple reports regarding a potentially dangerous file or program being shared via Skype. This file or program ends with .exe (run for 50k.exe, CocoaInstall.exe, SHEENIEB PANEL WINX7P.exe, and item hack.exe) and has been found to install malicious content on your computer.

The file or program is said to provide an account with 50,000 bugs once activated or installed on your computer. The staff strongly advise that you do not accept or download this file or program in anyway.

What this file or program really does:
This program provides remote access to the computer it is installed on and can get into your webcam.

The file or program is currently being investigated by our Administrators and Developers. If you have any further information, please provide a report to admin@chobots.net. Let your friends be aware of this situation as soon as possible. If you have accidently downloaded it, please delete/uninstall it as soon as possible. Thank you for your awareness!

Now that I have your attention, I want to make sure you all are aware that the forum has reopened!

The Chobots Forum is a community page where you can discuss with other users about the game and other off-topic stuff. You can participate in contests, earn sweet awards, and even run your own forum blog! User feedback, suggestions, and ideas will be checked frequently on the forum by the Chobots Team. Unfortunately, after a critical error, if you had an account on the old Chobots Forum, you will have to re-register. All data from the old forum was also lost into cyberspace and the developers were unable to retrieve any lost information. The staff apologies for any inconveniences that this might've caused for users.
Check out the forum and register today! Leave any feedback in the feedback section on the forum of what you think once you've gotten around it!

Juniors Can Now Gift

Hi everyone!
Chobots is always looking for more ways to improve the game. They have been listening to what users have been saying, and thus have brought the gifting feature back for all members!

To be able to gift to other users, you must be at least 30 days old or have purchased citizenship. While trading will still remain a premium feature, this is a huge step into future updates to come!

New Author + Recap of St. Patrick's Party!

Hey guys, Camera here! I'm a new author for Vasa's amazing blog! (long-time fan, new-time writer). ;)

Basically, I will post about anything new to the Chobots World, for your viewing pleasure!

To begin, The St. Patrick's Day party just ended, and it was a huge blast! The party began with some awesome magic while they chose winners of their St. Patrick's Day look contest, whom happened to be Sweetypie0518, Willkdh, and Ariannagrande27!! Nice job guys--you have all became 2,000 bugs richer! Sweet!

After about 20 minutes of the moderator's magic and music that kept everyone on their feet, Vani made it even better and held a quiz, in which a handful of people won this amazing shirt of hers:

After all of these festivities, they ended the party with a massive amount of rain, such as Anonymous masks, Samantha hair, headbows, and more!

Then sadly, the party came to a close. It was so much fun, and I can't wait until the next party! :)

Well, that ends my first post. Hope you guys enjoyed, and can't wait to post again!

Can you believe St. Patrick's day is only a few days away? I sure can't! The team figured it would be best if you knew a little background information before the party, so they're going to have a research contest!

From today until March 23rd, you're asked to find the most interesting facts about St. Patrick's day. You can do so using some image editors, such as Paint, Photoshop, or anything else. The winners will receive citizenship, bugs, and even a little something extra!

March Citizenship Items

Hi guys!

I can already feel spring in the air, warmer weather, and lots of sunshine! Since the month of March is upon us, of course there is a new citizenship package:

It looks like this package is based on St. Patrick's Day, a holiday coming up! Did you notice the new template? ;)

Along with a month of citizenship, 10,000 bugs, and the ability to trade/gift, you will receive a clown mask, board, wings, and four leaf clover! What could be luckier than that?

On another note, we have an agents meeting coming up. Agents, the agent meeting will be taking place on March 15th, at 9:00PM Chotime. All agents should attend, though it is not mandatory.

We will meet on the most populated city, in the Agents' HQ. If you have any questions or concerns you feel that needs to be discussed, please have your inquires ready prior to the meeting. Please make an effort to attend, agents!

Board Games Competition

Hi guys!
Now that Chobots is up, it's time for another contest. Let's sharpen our logical thinking skills and settle in for a three way competition involving chess, checkers, and sliders; all that can be found at the Academy Street and in the Academy!

Starting today and until March 15th, now is the time to rack up as many points as you can on the scoreboards. I've heard there's some pretty sweet prizes for the top three placers, so get playing!

Twin Party

Hello guys!
Unfortunately, Chobots was down for a few days due to maintenance. But now, let's celebrate because it's back up and running smoothly! More specifically, let's have a party - a Twin Party!

As you can see from the image above, this will take place today, March 8th, at 10PM cho-time in the Cafe. Teamwork plays a key role in this party, you and your partner will have to coordinate outfits in order to twin. Your best bet is to plan ahead so you can be prepared for the party! As always, there will be loads of fun magic, music, and rain. The bets three matching pairs will receive bugs.

March Journalists Program

Hi everybody!
As always, with every new months comes a round of new journalists Below are the guidelines for what you have to become a journalist:

• Your blog should be at least one month old and updated weekly 
• The posts on your blog should not be copied from the main blog or any other resource. They should be original and creative 
• Images found on the Official Blog may be reused in your posts 
• Your blog should have at least one active blogger and no more than four bloggers 

Of course, journalists are rewarded with great perks such as:

• Your blog will be featured on the play page 
• Journalists will receive a special badge on their playercard with the title of their blog, along with an exclusive playercard 
• In the beginning of each month, journalists receive one week of free citizenship* 
• Automatically receive the feather item 
• You will be invited to write one post on the Official Blog 
• The ability to contact a moderator via PC, even if their playercard is blocked 
• Your blog will be bookmarked by the moderators 
• Your website will be featured on the Official Blog 
• A purple nametag 

You have until the 7th of March to submit your blog in the form of a comment on the Official Blog. After submissions close, the team will review all the blogs and pick out the new journalists.
