Here it is guys! The fourth and final chapter!
Chapter four
"Eeny meeny, miny, moe. Catch a piggy by its toe. If he hollers, let him go. My mother told me to pick the very best one, and you are IT!" I said, pointing to the left road. "Let's go left." I started walking towards the left path.
"Nice try, Vasa," said Blue, catching me by the sleeve. "It's not that easy. This is a serious decision."
"Well, my gut instinct says to go left."
"I don't know," Blue argued. "I think we should go right."
"Left."
"Right."
"Left!"
"Right!"
"LEFT!"
"RIGHT!"
I sighed. The prophecy was coming true. "They criss and they cross, a choice you must make. Have in mind, there is much at stake." When it taks about crissing and crossing, it's talking about our decisions, which counteract each other. There really isn't a better choice.
"Rock, paper, scissors?" I suggested.
Blue shook her head. "Really?"
I sighed. How were we ever going to come up with an agreement?
Suddenly, I heard a scurrying sound. "Oh no." A spider came crawling up underneath my foot.
"AHH!" I screamed. "Get it off, GET IT OFF!" I ran towards the two paths and the spider seemed to chase me onto the right one.
"VASA! COME BACK! WE HAVEN'T MADE OUR DECISION!" Blue yelled behind me. I didn't care. I kept running for my life.
Suddenly, the spider scurried the other direction. A few seconds later, I saw Blue running up to my side.
"Vasa, are you crazy?" she asked. "What if this isn't the right path?"
"Is it too late to go back?" I asked, turning behind me.
A huge mob of nichos were coming our way.
"Yep," said Blue. "It's too late."
We ran for our lives. And I'm not talking about your average run. I'm talking about all out sprinting, full speed ahead.
After about two minutes, I couldn't run anymore. I slowed down to a jog.
Blue asked between pants, "Do...you think....we outran them?"
"Not sure...hope so," I said.
We then approached a turn in the road. At the intersection was a sign with an arrow. As I squinted, I could see that it had writing on it.
"What does it say?" I asked Blue.
"Zo Raxail eb Daxalknopt."
I sighed. "English, please?"
"The Lair of Darkness."
"Oh..." I stopped completely. "Are you sure you want to do this?"
"Duh!" said Blue. "We need to rescue our friends."
"Okay," I said, shaking. "Let's go."
We turned right, and were frightened by what we saw. A huge cavern that seemed darker than the rest of the place, despite the moonlight shining brightly in the sky.
"What time is it?" Blue asked me.
I glanced at my watch. "11:20 PM"
Blue gasped sharply. "We only have 40 minutes to do this!" She ran ahead of me.
"Blue, wait up!" I said, and ran towards the huge, dark, creepy lair.
It should have been named, "The Labyrinth of Darkness." That thing was like a maze. I'm pretty sure we circled around the same place a couple times already.
"Left," Blue said. "Go left."
"We just went left!" I argued.
"Fine, right."
This was how it was pretty much the whole way. I don't know how far we walked, but my legs were sore by the time we finally found an exit.
"Well, this is it," I said.
"Yup."
We stepped into the cave.
"Newy? Markl? Pain?" I called out, each voice echoing into space.
I heard a clicking sound. Then the sudden flash of lights nearly blinded me.
"SURPRISE!" I heard several chobots call out. When I opened my eyes, I saw that around Blue and I, was a green screen room.
I was shocked. "What's this?"
"You just got fooled!" said Pain. "Say hi to the cameras!"
"Cameras?" asked Blue. She turned around to be greeted by a man in a directors cap. He was holding one of those giant, fancy cameras.
"Aaand..cut!" said the director. "Okay, that's a wrap, everybody!"
I was shaking with rage. "What is this?" I shouted.
"It's a reality TV show," said Newy. "With green screens, holograms, and other fancy things, we can make any scene a reality.
To my surprise, I saw Ovon walk in.
"Hey, Vasa!" said Ovon.
I was shocked. "You speak english?"
"Yep!" Ovon reached for his mask and pulled it off. Underneath, I saw the head of Novokid.
"NOVO?" I yelled. "You're Ovon?"
"Yeah. You never noticed that Ovon is just Novo spelled backwards?"
I thought about it. "Oh..."
Novo smiled. "It's too bad that Blue new the code of gibberish," he said.
"Code of gibberish?" I asked.
Blue blushed. "Yeah...I studied it in elementary school.
"Oh. Well it sure did come in handy!"
"Yeah," she said. "But how did you guys know that we would find the note in cow mission?"
"We really didn't," Markl confessed. "We just hoped someone would."
"And what about the prophecy?" I asked. "How did you know all of that stuff would happen?"
Pain smiled. "Thank our good friend Choproff." He gestured towards Choproff, who was reading a book on ancient codes. He looked up and waved.
"And what about all those nichos that were chasing us?" I said.
"Holographs."
I blushed in embarassment. "Wow, you guys did all of this just to fool us?"
"Yup," said Newy. "And it's going to be aired on live television."
"WHAT?"
"You just got fooled!"
