How to do the cow mission

For new chobots, they often like to play the Cow mission. Here is a tutorial how:

When you enter the cow mission arena, you will probably see something like this:

You need to grow grass! But first, you must shovel up the land. Grab the shovel and click on each square to shovel it up.

Now you need to plant the seeds. Grab the bag of seeds and click on a square to plant seeds.

Next, you need to water the seeds. Grab the watering can and click on a square to water it.

Now you need to cut down the grass to feed the cow. Click on the Scythe and click on a square to cut the grass down.

A yellow piece of hay should appear afterwards. But be quick, a nicho will try to take your hay!

Click on the megogun and quickly click on the nicho to blast him!

Now you have your hay. Click on it to pick it up, and put it in the wooden crate to feed to Daisy the cow.

Daisy should now have produced milk. Repeat this step two more times and you will have 3 full tubes of milk.

Now collect the milk using the bucket.

You are done! You can repeat all these steps for more bugs if you like :) Hope this guide helped!

Tips on becoming a journalist

Journalism is one of many great features of Chobots. If you're looking for some great tips on how to become a journalist, simply read below.

Official Journalist Requirements:

• Your blog shouldn't be "simple" - it should have a great design (a template and a header) and some cool gadgets in it.
• Your posts on the blog should be creative and unique - you have to write your own posts, not just copy the from a different source like the official blog. Even though, you are free to use pictures that have been used in posts on the Official Blog.
• Your blog should be updated at least twice a week.

I'll elaborate on each of these points to give you a good idea of what the team is looking for:

Your blog shouldn't be "simple" - it should have a great design (a template and a header) and some cool gadgets in it.

This basically means that your template should be creative, original! I would try avoiding the Blogger pre-made templates (such as Simple, Awesome Inc...) or if you do use one of those, try editing it a lot and adding your own personal touch! Most of my templates I make myself, but you don't have to get that fancy. If you have Artisteer, definitely use it, because it makes some very beautiful templates!

Your posts on the blog should be creative and unique - you have to write your own posts, not just copy the from a different source like the official blog. Even though, you are free to use pictures that have been used in posts on the Official Blog.

Don't copy the main blog word or word (or any other blog!). I try to avoid reusing the main blog photos and creating my own to add a personal touch, as well. Express your mind, after all, that's what blogging is all about, right?

Your blog should be updated at least twice a week.

Pretty self explanatory, right? I would at least try posting new updates whenever the main blog does (the same day or the next day is good). However, don't go posting every single second and flooding your blog with useless posts. Stick to one a day or one every other day, that's what I do.

Don't panic! My blog has been turned down several times for journalism as well. The main thing is to not give up and always keep improving. If you don't know how to design your blog, take a look at the current journalists and see what the judges are looking for. Then enter next month and hope for the best!

How do you make a great template?

To make my templates, I look up tutorials from other blogs. Some great websites for finding tutorials are Blog Designs by Dani, Simple Blogger Tutorials, and Twolegers' Chobots Blog. Just click a link to go there, and you will find tons of informative and helpful tutorials.

Of course, all hard work is rewarded, and that's why there are many benefits to becoming a journalist.

A tour around chobots

Hello all you new players! I'm happy to announce your first step into chobots!

I'm glad that you've joined this great game, and I hope you enjoy your experience. Before you get started, let me give you a "tour" around chobots.

 

Cafe Street

When you first log into chobots, you'll end up in Cafe Street. This is where most chobots typically hang out, and chat with their friends.

 

Cafe

This is the Cafe. You can sit at the tables, purchase smoothies, and just chat with your friends! There is also the game, Coins Rain here.

 

Game Zone

Here at the Game Zone, you can play several "arcade" style games, which are Asteroid, Cho Board, Cho Ball, The Mechanical Crab, and Robo Factory.

 

Shop Street

There are two shops at Shop Street. They are The Shop, and the Magic Shop.

 

Shop

At the Shop, you can buy many clothes you will need on Chobots! The catalogs are Hair, Glasses, Accessories, Pants Shirts and Shoes, Shirts and Dresses, Costumes and Outfits, Instruments, and Anime Masks. Costs of these items vary from low to high, and the catalogs change every once and a while according to seasons/holidays.

 

Magic Shop

The Magic Shop consists of three"Stuff" catalogs plus one "Magic for Citizens" catalog. The first one is magic (or "candy") for juniors, the second one is backgrounds for your playercard, the third one is hoverboards, and the fourth one is magic for citizens. Experiment with the magic for yourself to see what it does!

 

Eco Street

Eco Street consists of two shops, the Home Dome and the Eco Shop.

 

Home Dome

At the Home Dome, there are two catalogs called "Furniture Here!" and "House Upgrades" In "Furniture Here!" you can find furniture for your house for both juniors and citizens. In "House Upgrades" you can find house upgrades for both juniors and citizens. There is also a color shower, where you can change the skin color of your chobot for 500 bugs. Finally, there is a table where you and your friends can sit, buy some smoothies, and chat.

 

Eco Shop

The Eco shop consists of four catalogs, the Food Catalog, Rest Catalog, Play Catalog, and Masks for Citizens. In the Food Catalog, you can buy food for your pet. In Rest Catalog, you can buy supplies for your pet to sleep with. In Play Catalog, you can buy toys for your pet to play with. In Masks For Citizens, you will find several animal masks for both juniors and citizens. At the Eco Shop, there is also a Pet Constructor where you can create your own personalized pet. The prices of the pet varies based on how much detail you add to it (antaneas, arms, legs, etc.)

 

Space Quay

Space Quay consists of two games, Garbage Collector and Chobots Racer. It also has a quest "Chrischobob" that appears on certain occasions.

 

Space Port Square

Space Port Square has two games, Chopix Adventure and Space Racer. It also has the Cinema.

 

Cinema

The Cinema has an entrance to Chollywood. It also has an entrance to the Green Screen Room (camera holders only) and a screen on which sometimes messages can appear on.

 

Chollywood

Chollywood used to contain fan-made videos from players in the community. Currently the only thing it has is a link to a "Smiley Cat" chobots music video.

 

 Rope Street

Rope Street has two games for you to play, Sweet Battle and Tug of War.

 

Academy Street

At Academy Street, you can find all the classic multiplayer board games: Chess, Checkers, and Sliders.

 

Academy

At the Academy, there are four games plus one special game you can play: Sliders, Chess, Checkers, Wordfall, and on occasions, you can play Choproff in which you answer quiz type questions.

 

Girls' Hangout

Boys, stay out! This is a girls-only hangout where you can purchase smoothies and just chat with your BFF's!

 

Dudes' Chill Zone

Woah bro, guys only here! This sweet place is for dudes just wanting to chill and buy some smoothies (picture from http://nmacadaan.blogspot.com)

 

Mission Street

Mission Street contains the Mission Agency.

 

Mission Agency

The Mission Agency is where you can do the Cow Mission and the Nichos Mission. As of 3/9/2013, the Nichos Mission is unavailable.

 

Robots Arena

The Robots Arena is where players can buy robots and battle with other players. It contains catalogs for Robot Weapons and Special Items, as well as the Team Leaderboard, The Best Warriors, and where you can Create a Team. It also contains the Robot Configurator.

 

Rocketmall Street

Rocketmall Street is a place where you and your friends can hang out on the stage and put on fun performances. It also has tables where you can buy smoothies.

How to add a tracker to your blog

1. Log into chobots and click on your playercard:

2. Right click on your playercard and select "Copy tracker code".

3. Go to Blogger > Layout > Add a gadget > HTML/Java Script and paste this code in.

4. You are done! Enjoy your new tracker.

How to block/unblock your playercard

Do you want to stop those friend request spammers? Or maybe just want to have some peace and quiet from all the private chats people are giving you? Here I'll show you how:

1. Log into chobots and click on the 'menu' button in the upper right hand corner.

2. This screen should pop up. Tick/untick "accept all incoming messages"

Ticked = playercard open

Unticked = playercard closed

Here is what an open playercard looks like:

You are free to add, private chat, or invite this player.

Here is what a closed playercard looks like:

You are not free to add, private chat, or invite this player.

And that's it!

How to use the chobots UI

New games are always challenging, especially figuring out the odds and ends! Here is a little guide on how to use the Chobots user interface. (This guide is for noncitizens. Citizens may have added features).

There are 18 basic features to the Chobots UI.

1. Money

The money screen looks like this:

As you can see, it shows the total money you have earned, spent, the money your invitees have earned, your percentage of the earnage, and your cho energy. The cho energy screen looks like this:

It presents you with your current level, title, total cho, and cho until next level, and also a status bar to show you more visually how close you are until your next level. It also shows the next item you gain (you gain an item every 4 levels).

2.Status Upgrade!

The "Status Upgrade!" screen looks like this:

It shows you the current citizenship items (or if you are a citizen, it shows you how many days left until your citizenship expires). Clicking on "Buy Now!" will take you to the Citizenship page, where from there you may purchase citizenship.

3. Cho-time

The cho-time bar displays the current chobots time. You can switch between 12/24 hour time (also known as military time) by simply clicking on the bar.

4. Messages

Users can send or receive messages at any time. A bright yellow flashing envelope will appear if you have a message, and a more beige letter appears if you have already viewed the message. You can click the message and click "reply" to reply to that user.

5. Academy

The academy screen looks like this:

You can read 41 facts, some of which are asked in the Choproff quest. You can also show academy tips at startup by ticking/unticking the box.

6. Menu

The menu box looks like this:

Here you can toggle the sound and music volume, lock/unlock your volume, show or not show chobot names, accept/not accept all incoming messages, share/not share your location on tracker, change the quality, and change the language all on one menu.

7. Help

If you are new, you can have Snailchob tell you about all the locations around chobots.

If you don't want Snailchob helping you, tick "Can figure it out myself".

8. Family

The family screen looks like this:

If you have registered multiple accounts on the same email address, then they will show up here. You can change their permissions at any time.

9. Home

The "Home" button will take you to your house at any time by simply clicking on it.

10. Emote!

The "Emote!" screen looks like this:

By clicking on any face, it will appear above your chobot as an 'emote'. It will also change the face on your chobot's playercard. Have fun experimenting!

11. Friends

The friends screen looks like this:

You can view all your friends online or offline. If you have/are joined to a robot team, you can view all the players on their, too, by clicking on the icons on the top of the screen. You can also invite, send a message to, remove, or view a players playercard if they are online. If the player is offline, you cannot invite them anywhere.

12. Pictured chat/Full chat

By clicking on this icon, you can toggle between picture chat and full chat at any time (unless you are chat banned or chobots is in safe mode).

13. Chat History

The chat history looks like this:

You can scroll through a limited amount of saved chat by using the scroller on the right side.

14. Chat

You can type in chat or use picture chat using this feature.

15. Dance!

The "Dance!" screen looks like this:

You can play a combination of 5 dances, plus 3 customizable dances if you are a citizen. Have fun expermenting!

16. News

The "News" screen looks like this:

It shows upcoming events, plus the Featured Player.

17. Backpack

The backpack screen looks like this:

You can use any magic you have bought at the Magic Shop by clicking on it and clicking "Use".

18. Map

By clicking on the Map, you are directed to this screen:

This is a map of chobots. You can click on any building to go to that steet. You can also click "Choose a city" to choose a server to go to.
